These are some of the first sketches I'm doing with Michelle Burke, my editor at
Tommy Nelson, for my new project PRINCE CHIRPIO. They are stories for children based on biblical parables or principles. Michelle wanted me to focus on the costume, and have Chirpio's garment be vest-like, being open at the bottom so his little "tushy" and tail feathers can show (don't worry he doesn't mind). For King Fluffbelly, she wanted me to have his garment be like a robe that opens in the front.
